The Middle Rhine in Bingen begins and ends in Bonn. Along the way, the difference in height is 27 meters.
In Bonn, the height of the Middle Rhine is 50 meters above sea level. It flows through 4 mountains: Taunus, Westerwald, Hunsrück and Eifel.
In this section, the Rhine flows mainly through Rhineland-Palatinate. In Koblenz, the Mosel and Lahn rivers flow into the Rhine.

The Lorelei rock flows around the Rhine near St. Goarshausen. The famous story of the Lorelei rock is that a mermaid - the Loreley - sitting on the rock, attracting fishermen.
